Building notifications
Each building on campus has an occupant email list managed by Facilities Services, with automated subscription through Archibus.
If you are an employee of the University and Workday lists your office location in a particular building on campus, you are automatically subscribed to that building's notification list. This list does not have an "unsubscribe" option, as it is a mandatory channel of communication for health and safety on campus. If Workday lists your location as “TBD…” you do not have a location set in Archibus and are not subscribed to a building notification list. Subscribed occupants of a building will be notified by email if they could possibly be impacted or inconvenienced by any of the following situations:
- Outage notices (unplanned loss of power, etc.)
- Utility shutdowns (electrical, water, air conditioning or heating, etc.)
- Required monthly shutdown tests (View building schedule)
- Parking and roadway closures or partial closures
- Maintenance efforts
- Construction projects (with associated odors, excessive noise, entrance closures or barricaded areas)
- Hazardous materials abatement
- Other situations impacting faculty, staff and students
