Selections consist of up to three modules including: coastal and urban hydrology, snow hydrology, ecohydrology, water and agriculture, hydrologic modeling, the application of drones in hydrology and stream tracer modeling. Modules are updated annually for most current problems in hydrology.

Addresses questions such as why some governments are democratic and others are not; why the inhabitants of some countries and world regions experience higher levels of material and physical well-being than others; and when and why social mobilization and/or political violence occurs. The course examines some of the answers that have been proposed on the basis of comparative (cross-national) research.
