Summary
Misty Riddle joined the Â鶹´«Ã½AV’s Department of Biology as an Assistant Professor in 2021. Her research uses the Mexican tetra, Astyanax mexicanus, to investigate how natural genetic variation drives differences in development, physiology, and host–microbiome interactions. She has authored research articles in leading scientific journals, and her work is supported by funding from the National Science Foundation. In addition to her research program, she is committed to training undergraduate and graduate students and developing outreach activities that engage the public in evolutionary biology.
