Summary
Ang Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV. His research focuses on coupled processes in geomechanics, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, with applications in mine health and safety, sustainable mineral production, and geo-energy transition. Dr. Liu earned his Ph.D. in Energy and Mineral Engineering from Penn State University. Prior to joining the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV in 2025, he served as an Assistant Teaching Professor at Penn State University following the completion of his doctoral degree.
