We envision more to come, but all courses focus on humanities, arts and social science through a combination of online instruction, lectures, tours and more! All programs have limited space. Prices are based on Nevada residency, are per person and do not include airfare.

Rome, Italy: Core Humanities 202

  • Trip dates: May 18 - June 5, 2026
    • Week 1: May 18-22 (9:30-11:30 a.m. PST) Synchronous (Zoom)
    • Week 2: May 26-29 (9:30-11:30 a.m. PST) Synchronous (Zoom)
    • Week 3: June 1-5, on-site in-person in Rome
  • Cost: $3,595
  • Core Humanities 202: The Modern World, 3 units, satisfies CO 05
  • Professor: Emeritus Professor of History, Dennis Dworkin, Ph.D.
  • This three-week Core Humanities session blends online learning with an immersive study-abroad experience. The first two weeks are held over Zoom, where students explore the emergence of the modern world through major historical, cultural and intellectual movements. The third week takes place in Rome, Italy, where walking tours, museum visits and group discussions allow students to connect course readings to real-world sites and histories. 
  • Fees include: Course registration fees, travel insurance, 7-day lodging, daily breakfast, and other fees. Not included: Airfare to Rome.
