The minor in digital interactive games blends coursework in art and computer science to teach you the theory and practice of creating video games. The minor emphasizes technical skills, with core courses in the field of computer science and engineering that include fundamental of computer science (required for non-computer science majors) as well as courses on computer graphics, virtual reality, advanced robotics and pattern recognition. Additional courses from the art department cover techniques and tools that artist use to create digital media.
The minor is open to all students at the University, although requirements and pre-requisite courses may differ for computer science and engineering majors.

With a strong foundation in computer science, the digital interactive games minor can be great preparation for a career as a video game developer.
